Ingredients / Composition
Each capsule contains 2mg loperamide hydrochloride. Other ingredients include lactose, maize starch, talc and magnesium stearate. The capsule shell contains gelatin and permitted colours.
Allergy Advice
Contains lactose. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to loperamide hydrochloride or any of its other ingredients. Read the enclosed leaflet for full ingredient and allergy information.
Directions
Short-term diarrhoea: Adults and children aged 12 and over should take two capsules initially, followed by one capsule after each loose bowel movement. Do not take more than six capsules in 24 hours.
IBS diarrhoea previously diagnosed by a doctor: Adults aged 18 and over should take two capsules initially, followed by one capsule after each loose bowel movement, or as previously advised by a doctor. Do not exceed six capsules in 24 hours.
Warnings / Storage
- For oral use only. Always read the label and enclosed patient information leaflet.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Not recommended for children under 12 years.
- This medicine relieves symptoms and is not a substitute for rehydration therapy; drink sufficient fluids.
- Do not take for an individual attack lasting longer than 48 hours. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist, worsen or change.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking other medicines or have an underlying medical condition.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
