Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 180°C, 160°C fan or Gas Mark 4. Mix the contents with 3 medium eggs, 180ml water and 90ml vegetable oil, then whisk for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Divide between two prepared 20cm cake tins and bake for 22–27 minutes, or divide between 24 cupcake cases and bake for 18–22 minutes. Check that a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean and allow the cakes to cool fully before decorating.
