Alka-Seltzer XS Double Action Effervescent Tablets are water-soluble pain-relief tablets for adults and children aged 16 and over. Ingredients / Composition

Each tablet contains aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) 267mg, paracetamol 133mg and caffeine 40mg. Other ingredients: sodium hydrogen carbonate and citric acid. Each tablet contains 472mg sodium.

Directions

Always read the label and enclosed patient information leaflet. Adults and children aged 16 and over should dissolve two tablets in half a glass (100ml) of water. The dose may be repeated every four hours when required, up to a maximum of eight tablets in 24 hours.

• Do not give to children under 16 unless specifically directed by a doctor.
• Do not exceed eight tablets in 24 hours or use for more than three days without consulting a doctor.
• Do not take with any other medicine containing paracetamol.
• Contains aspirin and a significant amount of sodium; consult a pharmacist or doctor if you are unsure whether it is suitable for you.
