Canesten Thrush Combi Pessary & External Cream is a complete treatment for women previously diagnosed with vaginal thrush. The pack contains one single-dose 500mg clotrimazole pessary with an applicator to treat the internal infection and a 10g tube of 2% clotrimazole cream for external itching and soreness.

Ingredients / Composition
Pessary: Clotrimazole 500mg. Other ingredients are lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, lactic acid, maize starch, crospovidone, calcium lactate pentahydrate, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica and hypromellose.
Cream: Clotrimazole 2% w/w. Other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol and purified water.
Directions
Insert the pessary as high as comfortably possible into the vagina using the supplied applicator, preferably before going to sleep. Apply the external cream thinly and evenly around the entrance of the vagina two or three times daily, smoothing it in gently. Always read and follow the enclosed patient information leaflet.
Warnings / Storage
- Only use if vaginal thrush has previously been diagnosed by a doctor.
- Do not use during your period, or if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any listed ingredient.
- Consult a doctor before use if this is your first occurrence, you are under 16 or over 60, or you have experienced more than two thrush infections within six months.
- Seek medical advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve within seven days.
- The pessary is for vaginal use only and the cream is for external use only.
- This product may reduce the effectiveness of rubber contraceptives; use alternative precautions for at least five days after treatment.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children and do not store above 25°C.
