The damage is to the outer packaging and does not appear to indicate that the shaver itself has been used.

Directions

Use on dry skin or apply shaving gel or foam for a wet shave. Move the shaving heads over the skin using gentle circular motions. After use, open the shaving unit and rinse it thoroughly under running water, then allow it to dry.
