Begin treatment once the wound has closed or stitches have been removed. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a very thin layer twice daily without rubbing it in. Allow the gel to dry completely; remove excess if it has not dried within four to five minutes. Use for at least 60–90 days, continuing beyond 90 days if improvement is still being seen.
