Ingredients / Composition
Active ingredient: Benzocaine 0.71% w/v (1mg per spray). Also contains ethanol, macrogol 300, propylene glycol, glycerol, cetylpyridinium chloride, saccharin sodium, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydroxide, levomenthol flavouring and purified water.
Directions
Read the enclosed patient information leaflet before use. Adults and children aged 13 years and over: hold your breath and spray three times onto the back of the throat. Children aged 6–12 years: use only under adult supervision and spray once onto the back of the throat. Repeat every 2–3 hours if required, up to a maximum of eight doses in 24 hours. Do not use for more than three consecutive days.
Warnings / Storage
- Do not use in children under 6 years.
- Do not use if allergic to benzocaine or any other ingredient.
- Do not use if you have breathing difficulty, noisy breathing, severe difficulty swallowing or methaemoglobinaemia.
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- Do not spray into the eyes.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms are severe, prolonged or accompanied by fever, headache or nausea.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
